Self Destruction, Ceramics, Plexiglass and Ready, 40x40 cm

The work expresses two kinds of metaphors. First; in an emergency, it refers to the person using the pistol to destroy himself. Secondly; It is also possible to break the ceramic gun while trying to break the glass with a hammer.

 In both senses, it gives the source of the work name as “self-destruction”. Normally, the button, which tries to save a person's life in an emergency, is based on destruction this time, and the fact that the gun is ceramic also points to a tool that is actually dysfunctional, creating an ironic situation for the job.

Çalışma iki türlü metafor taşımaktadır. İlki; acil bir durumda, kişinin kendisini imha için tabancayı kullanmasını işaret etmesi, ikincisi ise; kırılgan bir malzeme olarak seramik tabancanın, çekiçle camın kırılması esnasında kırılma ihtimalidir. Bu iki anlamda da ''kendini imha'' olarak çalışmanın isminin kaynağını verir. Normalde acil durumlarda kişinin hayatını kurtarmaya yönelik çalışan düğmenin, bu sefer imhayı temel alması ve tabancanın seramik olması da aslında işlevsiz olan bir alete işaret etmesiyle çalışma için ironik bir durum yaratmaktadır.
